Private Cattle Farm and Wildlife Observation
Board a small boat along the Tempisque River. There are so many birds. Sometimes it is even overwhelming! Imposing scarlet macaws, roseate spoonbills and jabirus will fly so close, you will want to touch them.
The Guanacaste lowlands and pasture fields are an intrinsic element of Costarican idiosyncrasy. The cattle, the rivers, the Liberian full moon, the sabaneros (cowboys) have been an inspiration since ancient times for popular music, stories and local legends. You will feel all these at Palo Verde, an ecosystem full of crocodiles, iguanas, monkeys, bats, anteaters and jaguarundi felines.
After the river tour, you will experience the plainsman culture of Guanacaste and the heritage of the Chorotega culture. We will visit the town of Guaitil, home of the production of polychrome ceramics inspired by the prehispanic Chorotega culture, which is one of the most important legacies of the native indigenous cultures.
